Job Description

  • Manage forklift operators & bailer.
  • Resolve any issues that may occur with shipping or receiving by working with carriers as needed.
  • Plans and coordinated work, trains, motivates, and monitors performance of warehouse and receiving associates.
  • Ensures warehouse and receiving associates ability to safety operate material handling equipment.
  • Ensures equipment is in proper operating condition and makes recommendations for necessary equipment or repairs.
  • Maintaining the warehouse and inventory in a safe, clean and organized manner by keeping shelves, staging area and storage area neat.
  • Monitors the unloading of all materials into the Receiving Department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report material received. Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry. Oversees the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
  • Oversees the supplying of materials to fabrication and stages material for assembly and sub-assembly, ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
  • Monitors and measures receiving and warehouse performance for accuracy of locator, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, and transfers to service parts.
  • Prepares work schedules and expedites workflow. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and distributes various reports needed for the normal day-to-day operations of the facility, and in order to make sound business decisions.
  • Communicates daily with associates to make sure that all work instructions are understood, procedures and safety practices are being followed.
  • Analyzes processes and procedures to produce maximum service with minimal downtime.
  • Develop and maintain a productive work team through cross training, sound communication and motivational techniques.
  • Regularly inspects department for safety hazards and either resolves them or reports them to the safety manager as appropriate. Accountable for maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment.
  • Drives results and continuous improvement in the organization.
  • Conducts semi-annual performance evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
